Our Mission

Christians In Action (CIA) is an ecumencial group of
volunteers from area churches serving those in need
of the Olmsted Falls and Olmsted Twp. communities.

We serve in the name of Jesus and accordingly, help
all regardless of age, race or religion.





The food pantry provides essentials (food, paper goods, toiletries) as they are available to persons in need.  Please help and donate to needy families today.  Here is a list of items that are most needed:

  • spaghetti sauce and noodles
  • canned beef stew or chili
  • canned tuna, salmon, or chicken
  • canned chicken or chicken helper
  • boxed dinners such as hamburger helper, tuna helper
  • canned vegetables or soups
  • gelatin or pudding mixes
  • mac ‘n cheese box
  • apple sauce
  • tomatoes or tomato sauce
  • cake mixes
  • oatmeal or cream of wheat
  • canned potatoes
  • peanut butter & jelly
  • paper towels or napkins
  • soap and shampoo

We also accept fresh produce, but it can only be left on 
distribution day (Sundays 1:30 - 2:00pm). 

Please take all food donations to the Olmsted Community Church through the doors at back of parking lot or any local church.

Christians In Action Policy

Christians In Action requires those it serves to live in Olmsted Falls or Township or be a member of a church in Olmsted Falls or Twp.

Assistance available through CIA includes: food, utility assistance, school supplies and other items that are on an "as needed basis".  Some of the help provided is one-time emergency assistance and some is on-going support.  Those in need can recieve non-perishable groceries once a month.  Special distributions are perpared for the holidays.

Food and financial assistance are donated by local churches, schools, service agencies and residents.

We offer help to all as our response to Christ's love for us and His command to serve others.  If you, or someone you know, is in need or our assistance, please call 440-954-4140 for details.

**Please Note:  Mortgage and rent assistance are not provided through Christians In Action.
